I wonder why spring brings the most childhood memories of any season...  I think it has something to do with smell.

I'm baking bread.
My to do list isn't long.
The new job is mentally challenging.
I'm ready to move out.
I want to read a good book.
I'm thankful for my mental state.
Time is moving at a satisfying pace.
For some reason, in my mind, after May 17th everything is completely different.  Like I'm saying farewell to an old life in these last months.

We've officially completed our annual Christmas ritual of going to Crown Center.
Each visit includes :
going in every store whether we actually want to or not
having a debate over where to eat and when, usually lasting at least 10 minutes
going into the Westin hotel to take a picture in front of their big tree
riding the glass elevator up to the top floor and back down again (why???)
Dad making comments about the jazz guys playing Christmas music
Dad making comments about the people's bad driving in the parking garage
Mom not being able to decide just what she wants to get for dessert

The list could go on, I guess I'll stop there.  Actually this year was one of the better ones, and I convinced them all to take pictures in the photobooth!  Yes, all four of us crammed into the photobooth.  I was surprised they did it.  I can't say the pictures turned out that great though.  There's only one where you can see all of our faces.  Well, if the top of my head and my eyes count as a face.

Okay, so I recently came across a list from when I was at SBU with you lovely people.  The list is all of your names backwards and then acronyms to the backwards names that describe you sort of.  I'm pretty sure I posted it on here way back when, but man, I think my acronyms are still true!  I was so tickled by reading them that I'm going to post them again.  Weeee!

lehcar:  leaf eater, haste carrying ardent relief
nai:  never anticipates ill
nire:  needs immediate return (to) england
aicats:  ah, I can argue till sundown
w anna: weather aids nanook's appreciation
yma:  yielding more abundance
tnerb:  thoughts navigate ennui, returning brilliant
sucram:  solitary usurper craves rebirth amidst madness
selim: strange excerpts leading into mischief
yhtomit:  yells his thoughts often, meaning inversely translated
ytsirhc:  yearns to sing in rejoicing heavenly chorus

UPDATE
nitsuj:  no intimidation towards supreme ultimate justice
llij:  listens longingly (for) intense joy

If you're not on the list, let me know and I'll make one for you.

i just went through my list of subscriptions on here.  out of the whole list, only about 1/4 of the people still post, and that is only very occasionally like me.  so why are we all still on this stupid thing?  i never really want to post, does anybody?  i'd like to know, if you're reading this, why you are still on xanga at all?  or for that matter, why do you use any online posting thingy?
